Municipales 2026 à Oloron-Sainte-Marie : une voix d’écart et un recours déposé
Oloron-Sainte-Marie, 22 mars 2026 - Au terme d’un dépouillement qui aura tenu les candidats en haleine jusqu’à la dernière minute, Marie-Lyse Bistué, première adjointe de la majorité sortante, remporte le scrutin d’une seule voix, devenant ainsi la première mairesse de la ville.
Clément Servat, candidat malheureux et conseiller municipal de l’opposition, dénonce des irrégularités. Il a déposé un recours auprès du tribunal administratif de Pau et demande un recomptage des suffrages.
Le second tour, marqué par une participation de 69,17%, s’est déroulé sous la forme d’une triangulaire. Hugo Couchinave (8,67% des suffrages) avait décidé de se maintenir, malgré un accord de désistement réciproque conclu entre les deux listes de droite. Souhaitant représenter au conseil municipal les 19% des électeurs qui l’avaient soutenu au premier tour, il avait proposé une fusion à Clément Servat, qui a rejeté l’offre. Pour Hugo Couchinave, « Clément Servat est l’unique responsable de son score ».
La réponse du tribunal administratif, sauf décision négative rapide, ne sera pas connue avant plusieurs mois. Affaire à suivre.

2026 Municipal Elections in Oloron-Sainte-Marie : one-vote victory triggers recount dispute
Oloron-Sainte-Marie, March 22, 2026 — After a nail‑biting vote count that kept candidates in suspense until the final minute, Marie‑Lyse Bistué, first deputy in the outgoing majority, won the election by a single vote — becoming the town’s first female mayor.
Defeated candidate and opposition councilor Clément Servat denounced voting irregularities. He has filed an appeal with the Pau Administrative Court, calling for a recount.
The second round, which saw a turnout of 69.17%, played out as a three‑way race. Hugo Couchinave, who secured 8.67% of the vote, chose to stay in the running despite a mutual withdrawal agreement between the two right‑wing lists. Hoping to represent on the council the 19% of voters who backed him in the first round, he had proposed an alliance to Servat — an offer that was turned down. For Couchinave, “Clément Servat has only himself to blame for his result.”
Unless the court issues a swift ruling, its decision is not expected for several months. More to follow.
