Oloron-Sainte-Marie, 6 juin 2025 – Inauguration de la nouvelle chaufferie bois-énergie et du réseau de chaleur bas-carbone d'Oloron-Sainte-Marie et de Bidos. L'installation fournira une énergie propre, locale et durable en valorisant des résidus issus de l'exploitation forestière provenant d'un rayon de 100 km. L'approvisionnement en eau chaude et chauffage de bâtiments publics et privés – dont un hôpital, des écoles, des lycées et des sites industriels – doit permettre d'économiser l'équivalent de 4700 tonnes de CO2 par an. Le projet a nécessité la construction d'une chaufferie, mais aussi d'un réseau de canalisations souterrain de 8,2 km.
Inauguration of the urban heating network of Oloron-Sainte-Marie and Bidos
Oloron-Sainte-Marie, June 6, 2025 – Inauguration of the new wood-energy boiler plant and the low-carbon district heating network for Oloron-Sainte-Marie and Bidos. The installation will provide clean, local, and sustainable energy by utilizing forestry residues sourced within a 100 km radius. The supply of hot water and heating to public and private buildings—including a hospital, schools, high schools, and industrial sites—is expected to save the equivalent of 4,700 tons of CO2 per year. The project required the construction of a boiler plant as well as an 8.2 km underground pipeline network.
