Environ 1 000 personnes ont défilé ce jeudi matin dans les rues de Pau à l’occasion de la fête du Travail, selon des estimations concordantes de la CGT et des forces de l’ordre. Le cortège, rassemblant plusieurs syndicats s’est élancé à 11h depuis la place Verdun, parcourant le centre-ville dans une ambiance calme. Les manifestants ont exprimé leurs revendications sur les salaires, les retraites et la défense des services publics, dans un contexte social tendu. La mobilisation s’est déroulée sans incident et s’est dispersée en début d’après-midi.
May Day 2025 march in Pau
Approximately 1,000 people marched through the streets of Pau on Thursday morning for Labour Day, according to matching estimates from the CGT union and law enforcement. The procession, which brought together several unions, set off at 11 a.m. from Place Verdun and made its way through the city center in a calm atmosphere. Demonstrators voiced their demands regarding wages, pensions, and the defense of public services, against a backdrop of social tension. The rally took place without incident and dispersed in the early afternoon.
