PROFANATION DU MUR DES JUSTES : PREMIERE MANIFESTATION AU MEMORIAL DE LA SHOAH
Le 14 mai 2024, une manifestation était organisée devant le Mémorial de la Shoah à Paris à l'appel de collectifs et d'associations pour protester contre la profanation du Mur des Justes avec des tags de mains rouges. La profanation du Mur listant les noms des personnes qui ont sauvé des Juifs pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale est intervenue dans un contexte de tensions liées au conflit a Gaza suite a l'attentat terroriste du Hamas. D'autres actions de vandalisme antisémite dénoncées par la France comme une opération d'influence russe sont survenues les mois précédents.
DESECRATION OF THE WALL OF THE RIGHTEOUS: FIRST DEMONSTRATION AT THE HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL
On May 14, 2024, a demonstration was organized in front of the Shoah Memorial in Paris, called by various groups and associations, to protest the desecration of the Wall of the Righteous Among the Nations with red hand graffiti. The desecration of the Wall, which lists the names of those who saved Jews during World War II, occurred amidst tensions related to the conflict in Gaza following the Hamas terrorist attack. Other acts of antisemitic vandalism, denounced by France as a Russian influence operation, had taken place in the preceding months.
