SCOPELI, cooperative and participative supermarket
Scopéli is a supermarket located in Rezé which is a town in the agglomeration of Nantes. This supermarket of 1200 m2 is opposite Transfert, place of a transitional project dedicated to art, experimentation and meeting. This supermarket is managed by 1800 cooperators. Each cooperator must pay a social share of either 10 or 50 euros according to his income and he must do 3 hours of vacation per month. Scopéli was inspired by the Louve in Paris or the SuperQuinquin in Lille. It's a real alternative to the supermarket. Scopéli allows, by its functionning, to be 20 to 30% cheaper than the stores Biocoop and to have a fair price for the producers and to remain really local (Pays de la Loire). Usability is one of the fundamental principles of Scopeli. All products are either from organic farming or they are products containing no pesticides or GMOs.
