My 16-year-old son and I took out an Interrail card. Thanks to it, we were able to travel from Angers to Istanbul by train. We crossed 7 countries before arriving in Istanbul. France, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria. The Interrail card is very popular with young people. The train, synonymous with slowness - it took us 5 days - is an alternative to the plane, but also a different way of approaching travel. It's not about the destination. It's the days spent on the rails.
