Un soir au cirque
FRANCE, SAINT-DENIS. 2025. Le cirque est arrive en ville. Je suis alle a la rencontre des circassiens. Pendant une semaine, ils m ont accueilli au milieu des caravanes, pendant les repetitions et j ai assiste a de nombreuses representations. Ces images, je les ai reecrites en utilisant un procede photographique monochrome negatif ancien, le cyanotype. Grace aux UV (du soleil ou d une lampe), on obtient un tirage photographique bleu de Prusse, bleu cyan. Cette technique a ete mise au point en 1842 par le scientifique et astronome anglais John Frederick William Herschel. Photographe: Jean-Michel DELAGE/ Hans Lucas
One night at the circus
FRANCE, SAINT-DENIS. 2025. The circus has come to town. I went to meet the circus performers. For a week, they welcomed me among their caravans during rehearsals, and I attended numerous performances. I reworked these images using an old monochrome negative photographic process called cyanotype. Thanks to UV light (from the sun or a lamp), you get a Prussian blue, cyan blue photographic print.
