Journée nationale d'hommage aux Harkis
25 septembre 2025, Rivesaltes, à l'occasion de la journée nationale d'hommage aux Harkis ayant combattus dans le camps français durant la guerre d'Algérie, l'état représenté par le Préfet des Pyrénées-Orientales organisait un rassemblement devant la Stele du Souvenir Harkis du Memorial de Rivesaltes, à l'ancien Camp Joffre où ils furent "parqués" dans d'affreuses conditions à leur arrivée en France Métropolitaine, en 1962 et 1963.
National Day of Remembrance for the Harkis
FRANCE - September 25, 2025, Rivesaltes, on the occasion of the national day of tribute to the Harkis who fought in the French camps during the Algerian War, the state, represented by the Prefect of the Pyrénées-Orientales, organized a gathering in front of the Harkis Memorial Stele at the Rivesaltes Memorial, at the former Camp Joffre where they were “parked” in appalling conditions upon their arrival in metropolitan France in 1962 and 1963.
