EHPAD confiné
Villelongue Del Monts, Pyrénées-Orientales, 10 avril 2020.

Retirement home and covid
Villelongue Del Monts, Pyrénées-Orientales, 10 April 2020.
If there is a population at risk in this period of the spread of the Coronavirus, it is the residents of accommodation establishments for dependent elderly people.
The EHPADs and their management have had to adapt, prohibiting visits despite pressure from families, drastically increasing their protocol of entry, protection and decontamination, remaining vigilant to the symptoms of each resident, multiplying the controls of "constants".
The wearing of masks masking facial expressions at the risk of confusing psychologically fragile residents, the wearing of gloves complicating the manual work of the nurses, the confinement of people who are dialysis patients because of their round trips to and from hospitals, the grouping of people at risk in closed areas (...), these necessary modifications and restrictions do not facilitate the work of the management and health teams but make it possible to protect the residents from a virus with a high mortality rate in these establishments.
