Sénatrice, elue de Province
Lauriane Josende est sénatrice (LR) des Pyrénées-Orientales depuis octobre 2023. Un mandat partagé entre Paris et Perpignan.
Au Palais du Luxembourg, elle siège en commission, prépare ses amendements, rapporte des textes, avec la solennité des lieux de pouvoir.
Dans les Pyrénées-Orientales, son mandat prend une autre forme, proche du territoire et de ses habitants, des hauts cantons au littoral catalan : permanences, rencontres avec les élus, inauguration, représentation nationale…
Entre ces deux scènes, les allers-retours rythment ses semaines.
L’élue et mère, jongle entre les lieux, les agenda, entre ses impératifs nationaux, locaux et familiaux.
A travers son mandat de Sénatrice, se pose une question : comment une élue nationale reste-t-elle ancrée dans son territoire ?

Senator, elected representative from the provinces
Lauriane Josende has been a senator (LR) representing the Pyrénées-Orientales since October 2023. She divides her time between Paris and Perpignan.
At the Palais du Luxembourg, she serves on committees, drafts amendments, and reports on legislation, all with the solemnity befitting a seat of power.
In the Pyrénées-Orientales, her role takes on a different form, one that is close to the region and its residents, from the high cantons to the Catalan coast: holding office hours, meeting with elected officials, attending inaugurations, and representing the nation…
Between these two spheres, her weeks are punctuated by constant back-and-forth travel.
As both an elected official and a mother, she juggles different locations and schedules, balancing her national, local, and family responsibilities.
Her tenure as a senator raises a question: How does a national elected official remain rooted in her local community?
