Le Maroc triomphe au Championnat du Monde Scolaire de Golf à Rabat
Le Maroc s’est illustré lors de la première édition du Championnat du Monde Scolaire de Golf ISF, organisé au Royal Golf Dar Es Salam à Rabat, en remportant quatre des cinq titres en jeu dans les épreuves par équipes et individuelles. L’équipe marocaine termine en tête du classement général avec un score total de 854 coups (-10), devant la Thaïlande (+4) et le Taipei chinois (+10).
Chez les U18 garçons, Hicham Rachidi décroche l’or avec une carte de -4 (284 coups), devançant le Thaïlandais Kittipong Kamlangklee (dans le par). Ses compatriotes Saad Ahalouch et Mohamed Saad Lahiane figurent également parmi les quatre premiers. Du côté des filles, Sofia Cherif Essakali survole la compétition avec un score de -5 (283 coups), loin devant ses poursuivantes émiratie et taïwanaise.
Mohamed Baouhamou offre une autre médaille d’or au Maroc chez les garçons U15, tandis que Shuang Wu du Taipei chinois s’impose chez les filles avec un impressionnant -11. Tous les lauréats sont sacrés “Champions ISF de Golf” pour une année et reçoivent les médailles officielles de cette compétition scolaire internationale prestigieuse.
Morocco shines at ISF World School Golf Championship in Rabat
Morocco dominated the first edition of the ISF World School Golf Championship, held at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in Rabat, by winning four out of five titles in both team and individual events. The Moroccan team topped the overall team ranking with a total score of 854 strokes (-10), ahead of Thailand (+4) and Chinese Taipei (+10).
In the under-18 category, Moroccan golfer Hicham Rachidi clinched the gold medal with a total score of -4 (284 strokes), followed by Thailand’s Kittipong Kamlangklee (even par). His teammates Saad Ahalouch and Mohamed Saad Lahiane also finished among the top four. On the girls’ side, Sofia Cherif Essakali claimed victory with an impressive -5 (283 strokes), far ahead of her Emirati and Taiwanese rivals.
Morocco’s Mohamed Baouhamou added another gold in the boys’ under-15 category, while Shuang Wu of Chinese Taipei won the girls’ under-15 title with a remarkable -11. All winners were crowned ISF Golf Champions for one year and received official medals in this prestigious school-level international tournament.
