Vulfpeck à Jazz in Marciac
Depuis sept ans, les amateurs de funk attendaient avec impatience leur retour en Europe... et ils sont enfin là ! Les maîtres incontestés du groove sont de retour sur scène. Pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas encore ces quatre passionnés de funk et de jazz, voici une brève présentation. Fondé en 2011, Vulfpeck a enflammé Internet avec ses albums, ses vidéos, et ses performances live époustouflantes. Leur concert au Madison Square Garden à New York en 2019 a conquis tous les adeptes du groove.
Le groupe est composé de Woody Goss (claviers), Joe Dart (basse), Jack Stratton (batterie, guitare, claviers), et Theo Katzman (chant, batterie, guitare). Le guitariste Cory Wong, collaborateur régulier du groupe, qui a enflammé Marciac l'année dernière, sera également de la partie. Ces musiciens extrêmement talentueux sont non seulement de brillants techniciens, mais ils tiennent aussi au succès à condition de pouvoir rester libres et de s'amuser.
Preuve en est, le groupe le plus en vogue de la scène jazz-funk mondiale envahit l'Europe pour présenter "Schwitz", son sixième album, enregistré dans un... sauna ! Fidèles à leur réputation de groupe conceptuel, ils ont filmé presque l'intégralité de l'album dans ce fameux sauna. Cependant, il ne faut pas les prendre à la légère, car Vulfpeck a collaboré avec Bootsy Collins, Bernard Purdie, entre autres, et s'est fait une place parmi les grands noms de la funk contemporaine.

For seven years, funk fans have been eagerly awaiting their return to Europe... and now they're finally here! The undisputed masters of groove are back on stage. For those who don't yet know these four funk and jazz enthusiasts, here's a brief introduction. Founded in 2011, Vulfpeck have set the internet alight with their albums, videos, and stunning live performances. Their concert at Madison Square Garden in New York in 2019 won over all groove fans.
