Ukraine, Mykolaiv survit
Ukraine, Mykolaiv survives
The port of Mykholaiv was one of the first targets of the ruse army at the beginning of the offensive. The war has left deep scars and of the 500,000 inhabitants, it is estimated that only 40% remain. After the liberation of Kherson at the end of October, the deadly attacks have gradually ceased and the city, deprived of running water and subject to regular power cuts, has regained a semblance of calm. It is now time to rebuild and clear the most damaged areas. Winter is setting in and the population is adapting.
The queues in front of the food aid distribution are very long and the water supply is a crucial element for the population. At one time, there was talk of evacuating the city, but now it is certain that the inhabitants will gradually return in large numbers to rebuild their city.
