À l’occasion du passage de la flamme olympique à Poitiers, l’ONG Amnesty International France a organisé une action militante sur la place Charles de Gaulle, le 25 mai 2024. L'enjeu : sensibiliser aux dangers de la reconnaissance faciale et de la vidéosurveillance algorithmique généralisées pendant les jeux de Paris 2024. Amnesty International dénonce une entrave au droit à la vie privée et alerte sur les dangers d'une technologie intrusive et stigmatisante.

Olympic Games 2024: Amnesty International mobilizes against facial recognition
To mark the passage of the olympic flame through Poitiers, the NGO Amnesty International France organized a militant action in the Place Charles de Gaulle on May 25, 2024. The aim: to raise awareness of the dangers of facial recognition and algorithmic video surveillance, which will be widespread during the Paris 2024 Games.
