Monsignor Ihor Rantsya, appointed as the new bishop of the Ukrainian Eparchy of Saint Volodymyr the Great in Paris, is responsible for the faithful in France, Benelux and Switzerland. Born in 1978 in the Lviv region of Ukraine, he is a Greek Catholic bishop who has been serving in France since 2015 within the Ukrainian Eparchy of Saint Volodymyr the Great in Paris. An expert in geography and theology, he is committed to promoting peace and dialogue between Eastern and Western Christian identities.
