En commande pour le quotidien The Times, j'ai suivi avec une journaliste britannique les traces dans le Sud-Ouest de la France du couple à scandale Sally et Tim Walker. Plus connus sous leurs noms de plume Raynor Winn & Moth, ils sont suspectés d'avoir embelli un passé bien trouble incluant détournement de fonds et mensonge médical et d'en avoir fait un récit, "The Salt Path", qui s'est vendu à 2 millions d'exemplaires et a été adapté sur le grand écran avec notamment Gillian Anderson (X-Files) en rôle principal. On assignment for the daily newspaper The Times, I accompanied a British journalist to trace the steps of the scandalous couple Sally and Tim Walker through Southwest France. Better known by their pen names Raynor Winn & Moth, they are suspected of having whitewashed a highly troubled past—involving embezzlement and medical deception—to write "The Salt Path," a memoir that went on to sell 2 million copies and was adapted for the big screen starring Gillian Anderson (The X-Files). Some twenty years ago, the notorious couple bought a house in the village of Le Droit, in the Lot-et-Garonne region, which they very quickly left abandoned...
