Dufourspitze
4h, le réveil sonne. Dehors la nuit noire enveloppe les séracs. 2000 mètres plus haut se dresse la pointe Dufour, culminante à 4634 mètres. Au terme d'une ascension de plus de 6h, les deux alpinistes sont contraints de faire demi-tour à 100 mètres du sommet à cause de gelures aux mains. Entre crevasses et blocs de roches, la descente à skis devant le majestueux Cervin puis le retour à Zermatt. Une courte histoire montagnarde en images.

4am, clock is ticking. Outside the dark night envelops the seracs. 2000 meters higher stands the Dufourspitze, 4634 meters. After an ascent of more than 6 hours, the two climbers are forced to turn back at 100 meters from the summit because of frostbite. Between crevasses and boulders, the downhill skiing in front of the majestic Matterhorn then the return to Zermatt. A short mountain story in pictures.
