LES RUES DE PARIS APRES LE CONFINEMENT
Paris, ses métros bondés aux heures de pointe; ses manifestations; sa vie nocturne; ses rues noires de monde le dimanche, une vie à cent à l'heure. Voilà l'image que j'avais de cette capitale où je suis né. Tous ces instants me semblaient banals jusqu'au jour où nous avons été confinés. La ville la plus visitée au monde s'est brutalement arrêtée, voir Paris vide m'a profondément marqué.
Beaucoup d'images des rues désertes ont été réalisées pendant ces x mois de confinement et je me suis demandé comment les Parisiens allaient se réapproprier leur métropole, à quoi ressemblerait le Paris « d'après ».
En arpentant la capitale depuis mars 2021, j'ai pu observer que progressivement les liens se reconstruisaient et j'ai souhaité témoigner, à mon échelle, de cette effervescence, de ce besoin de communication et de vivre ensemble.
Avec une touche humaniste et décalé, j'ai pris le parti de capturer des moments qui auraient pu avoir lieu à une époque que je n'ai pas connu, en intégrant dans les images un élément contemporain qui permet de situer l'image.
Un clin d'oeil et un hommage à mes livres de chevet qui m?ont beaucoup inspiré pour ce travail photographique.
L'être humain au premier plan de cette série, m'introduisant discrètement dans son quotidien afin de capturer un bref moment de son intimité.

THE STREETS OF PARIS AFTER THE CONFINEMENT
Paris, its crowded subways at rush hour; its demonstrations; its nightlife; its crowded streets on Sundays, a life at a hundred miles an hour. This is the image I had of this capital where I was born. All these moments seemed banal to me until the day we were confined. The most visited city in the world came to an abrupt halt, and seeing Paris empty had a profound effect on me.
Many images of deserted streets were taken during these x months of confinement and I wondered how Parisians would reclaim their metropolis, what the "after" Paris would look like.
By walking around the capital since March 2021, I could observe that links were gradually being rebuilt and I wanted to bear witness, on my own scale, to this effervescence, to this need for communication and living together.
With a humanistic and offbeat touch, I decided to capture moments that could have taken place at a time I did not know, by integrating in the images a contemporary element that allows to situate the image.
A wink and a tribute to my bedside books which inspired me a lot for this photographic work.
The human being in the foreground of this series, introducing me discreetly into his daily life to capture a brief moment of his intimacy.
