Le canal du Midi relie Toulouse la Méditerranee. Construit entre 1666 et 1681 il est alimenté par l'eau de la Montagne Noire qui suit un reseau complexe d'ouvrages pour l acheminer. Depuis 1996 il est inscrit au patrimoine mondial de l UNESCO.

The Canal du Midi connects Toulouse to the Mediterranean. Built between 1666 and 1681, it is fed by water from the Montagne Noire, which flows through a complex network of structures to transport it. Since 1996, it has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
