Dans les Pyrénées Ariégeoises, tout près de St Girons, des bergers dont les troupeaux ont été victimes de plusieurs attaques d'ours ont demandé l'intervention d'une équipe de l'office national de la biodiversité pour un effarouchement renforcé. Les 2 intervenants vont se relayer durant 2 nuits de veille, près du troupeau. Ils sont équipés de torches puissantes et de caméras thermiques. En cas de présence avérée d'un ou de plusieurs ours, ils tireront des cartouches pyrotehniques pour faire fuir le prédateur.

FRANCE - FRENCH BIODIVERSITY OFFICE AGENTS CALLED TO SCARE AWAY BEARS IN THE PYRENEES.
In the Ariège Pyrenees, near St Girons, shepherds whose herds have been the victims of several bear attacks have requested the intervention of a team from the National Office for Biodiversity for reinforced scaring. The two workers will take turns during two nights of vigilance, near the herd. They are equipped with powerful torches and thermal cameras.
