"Saigne Seine" action near Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris
This Saturday 18 December 2021, International Migrants Day, two collectives, Mer Rouge and Collage Refugee, organised an action to commemorate migrants who died trying to cross different borders and seas. Near Notre Dame, activists poured a natural dye into the water of the Seine to dye it red to bear witness to the deaths at the borders, and then marched with placards bearing the names of those who died trying to cross the Channel.
