Reza Jafari, combattant pour la dignité de la France - Portrait
Suite aux évacauations des camps de réfugiés de Saint-Denis et de place de la République, Reza Jafari s'est imposé comme le porte-voix des réfugiés Afghans, principale nationalité représentée chez les demandeurs d'asile en France. À 25 ans, cet afghan d'origine est français depuis 2013. Il a connu les camps de réfugiés iraniens puis l'exil vers la France à 14 ans. À son arrivée à Paris il dort deux semaines sous les ponts de la capitale. Quelques années plus tard il s'engage dans l'armée française. Aujourd'hui, il estime que sa bataille pour un meilleur accueil des réfugiés n'est pas une lutte contre la France mais pour le pays qui l'a accueilli, "mon combat pour un accueil digne est aussi un combat pour la dignité de la France", assène le jeune homme.

Following the evacuations of the refugee camps of Saint-Denis and Place de la République, Reza Jafari has become the voice of Afghan refugees, the main nationality represented among asylum seekers in France. At the age of 25, this Afghan of Afghan origin has been a French citizen since 2013. He experienced the Iranian refugee camps and then exile to France at the age of 14. Upon his arrival in Paris, he slept for two weeks under the bridges of the capital. A few years later he joined the French army. Today, he believes that his battle for a better reception of refugees is not a fight against France but for the country that welcomed him. "My fight for a dignified welcome is also a fight for the dignity of France," the young man asserts.
