DEUX ANS ET DEMI APRES LE SEISME, LA LAIGNE PANSE SES PLAIES
Le 16 juin 2023, un séisme de magnitude de 5,3 sur l'échelle de Richter se produisait en Charente-Maritime, impactant fortement la commune de la Laigne. Ce tremblement de terre avait endommagé une centaine de bâtiments de ce village de 500 habitants. Bien que les travaux de reconstruction aient commencé, près de deux ans et demi après l'évènement la commune en porte toujours les stigmates.
TWO AND A HALF YEARS AFTER THE EARTHQUAKE, LA LAIGNE IS HEALING ITS WOUNDS
On 16 June 2023, an earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale struck Charente-Maritime, severely affecting the commune of Laigne. The earthquake damaged around a hundred buildings in this village of 500 inhabitants. Although reconstruction work has begun, nearly two and a half years after the event, the town still bears the scars.
