Un important incendie s'est déclenché le 22 juillet 2026 à Saumos en plein coeur du bassin d'Arcachon.
L'incendie s'est propagé très rapidement aux forêts de pins et a occasionné de nombreux dégâts. Une semaine après son déclenchement, le sinistre n'était toujours pas fixé et a parcouru 42.000 hectares en dépit des renforts nationaux et européens déployés pour circonscrire ce mégafeu.

mega feu girondeA major fire broke out on 22 July 2026 in Saumos, in the heart of the Arcachon basin.
The fire spread very rapidly to the pine forests and caused extensive damage. A week after it broke out, the blaze had still not been brought under control and had swept across 42,000 hectares, despite national and European reinforcements being deployed to contain this massive fire.
