Début des travaux de désenvasement du site classé
Les travaux de terrassement et de réaménagement du bassin du Mont St Michel ont débuté avec la vocation à stopper l'envasement du site. Le Mont-Saint-Michel classé depuis 1979 au patrimoine de l'UNESCO connait un problème récurrent relatif à son envasement. Le projet est de creuser une douzaine de mares d'ici fin février afin d'aménager un nouvel habitat à une espèce rare de batracien, le pélodyte ponctué, notamment.
Start of de-silting work on the listed site
Earthworks and redevelopment of the Mont St Michel basin have begun, with the aim of halting the silting-up of the site. Le Mont-Saint-Michel, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1979, has been experiencing a recurring problem with silting. The plan is to dig a dozen ponds by the end of February to create a new habitat for a rare species of batrachian, the spotted pelodyte.
