French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to the Élysée Palace on 11 November 2025, two months after France’s recognition of the State of Palestine. The two leaders announced the creation of a joint committee tasked with drafting the Constitution of the State of Palestine.
