La marque agroalimentaire des chocolats Poulain, très ancrée à Blois (y compris dans le patrimoine architectural) menace de fermer son usine de Villebarou. La marque est actuellement détenue par le groupe Carambar and co. Les syndicats et les élus locaux dénoncent une situation motivée par l'actionnariat et non un manque de rentabilité de l'usine.

The Poulain chocolate brand, which has strong roots in Blois (including its architectural heritage), is threatening to close its Villebarou factory. The brand is currently owned by the Carambar and co group. Unions and local elected representatives are denouncing a situation motivated by shareholding rather than a lack of profitability at the plant.
