Dans la localité de Manteigas, Burel Factory ranime une friche industrielle et fait revivre l'outillage des siècles passés. De la toison, au cardage, à la fibre de laine, dans l' usine s'anime une scène où la magie du tissage mécanique opère à partir de fils issus de la tradition pastorale.
En faisant appel à des designers, Burel Factory s'attache à remettre au goût du jour des couvertures en pure laine aux motifs abstraits, aux teintes des saisons. En vivifiant les savoir-faire anciens, la manufacture réalise des ouvrages contemporains qui vont du vêtement à l'accessoire de mode, en passant par le textile pour la décoration et le revêtement mural pour l'architecture. Dans cette trilogie créative, naissent des projets tressés à la réalité d'un Portugal authentique qui savoure toutes les nuances d'une esthétique écoresponsable.

In the mountains of northern Portugal, shepherds breathe nature and the freshly carded wool has that special scent. Burel Factory redesigns the heritage of a know-how and the identity of a brand of traditionally made and hand-sewn textiles, an ancestral textile expertise.
In the town of Manteigas, Burel Factory revives an industrial wasteland and revives the tools of the past centuries. From fleece, to carding, to wool fiber, in the factory a scene comes to life where the magic of mechanical weaving operates from threads coming from the pastoral tradition.
By calling on designers, Burel Factory is committed to bringing pure wool blankets up to date with abstract patterns and seasonal colors. By reviving the ancient know-how, the factory realizes contemporary works which go from the clothing to the fashion accessory, while passing by the textile for the decoration and the wall covering for the architecture. In this creative trilogy, projects are born that are interwoven with the reality of an authentic Portugal that savors all the nuances of an eco-responsible aesthetic.
