Mémorial national de la prison de Montluc
Lieu de détention pour de nombreux résistants, déportés et otages sous l’Occupation – parmi lesquels Jean Moulin et Marc Bloch – la prison de Montluc est aujourd’hui un site mémoriel majeur.
La réhabilitation, menée depuis 2022, s’inscrit dans une volonté de transmission de la mémoire, de valorisation du patrimoine historique, et d’ouverture au public.
La cérémonie du 14 avril 2025 marquera la réouverture officielle de ce lieu chargé d’histoire.
Inauguration of the Rehabilitation of Montluc Prison in Lyon
A place of detention for numerous resistance fighters, deportees, and hostages during the Occupation—including Jean Moulin and Marc Bloch—Montluc Prison is now a major memorial site. The restoration, which has been underway since 2022, is part of a commitment to preserving memory, promoting historical heritage, and opening it to the public. The ceremony on April 14, 2025, will mark the official reopening of this historic site.
