ATHENS, GREECE – MAY 16, 2026: MARCHE COMMEMORATIVE DE LA NAKBA VERS LAMBASSADE DISRAEL
Des centaines de personnes ont participé à une marche pro-palestinienne à Athènes à l’occasion du 78e anniversaire de la Nakba. Les manifestants se sont rassemblés au parc Eleftherias avant de marcher vers l’ambassade d’Israël à Psychiko en portant des drapeaux palestiniens, des banderoles et des fumigènes. Les participants ont demandé la fin de la guerre à Gaza et appelé à une solidarité internationale avec les Palestiniens. La marche a réuni des organisations de la communauté palestinienne, des groupes étudiants, des mouvements de gauche et des réseaux de solidarité venus de toute la Grèce. Des unités de police antiémeute ont été déployées autour de l’ambassade et le long des principales avenues pendant la manifestation. La commémoration annuelle de la Nakba fait référence au déplacement massif des Palestiniens après la création de l’État d’Israël en 1948.
ATHENS, GREECE – MAY 16, 2026: NAKBA ANNIVERSARY MARCH TO ISRAELI EMBASSY
Hundreds of people participated in a pro-Palestinian march in Athens marking the 78th anniversary of the Nakba. Protesters gathered at Eleftherias Park and marched toward the Israeli Embassy in Psychiko carrying Palestinian flags, banners and flares. Demonstrators demanded an end to the war in Gaza and called for international solidarity with Palestinians. The march included Palestinian community organizations, student groups, left-wing movements and solidarity networks from across Greece. Riot police units were deployed around the embassy and along major avenues during the demonstration. The annual Nakba commemoration refers to the mass displacement of Palestinians following the creation of the State of Israel in 1948.
