Tanguy-Prigent, paysan finistérien, résistant, socialiste, fut choisi par le Général De Gaulle comme ministre de l'Agriculture de son Gouvernement provisoire en 19454 et demeura ministre jusqu'en 1947. C'est durant cette ^ériode qu'il mit en place le Statut du fermage, dont on fête les 80 en 2026, institution cardinale du droit et de l'économie agricole. La ministre a honoré ma mémoire de son lointain prédécesseur, dont la marque demeure quotidienne.
Inauguration of the Tanguy-Prigent room at the Ministry of Agriculture
Tanguy-Prigent, a farmer from Finistère, a member of the Resistance, and a socialist, was chosen by General de Gaulle as Minister of Agriculture in his Provisional Government in 1945 and remained minister until 1947. It was during this period that he established the Tenancy Law, whose 80th anniversary will be celebrated in 2026, a cornerstone of agricultural law and economics. The minister honored the memory of her distant predecessor, whose influence is still felt every day.
