La France connaît à l'heure actuelle un renouveau de la foi. Enregistré dans l'Eglise catholique comme dans d'autres religions, le retour à la foi peut apparaître parfois comme une volonté de réinscription d'une identité que certains pensent perdue. Il marque aussi l'épuisement d'une société qui semble n'avoir plus d'autre croyance que celle de l'individu et le repli consummériste. Dans ce contexte, la religion peu constituer le refuge spirituel d'une quête de sens.

France is currently experiencing a revival of faith. Recorded in the Catholic Church as well as in other religions, this return to faith can sometimes appear as a desire to reclaim an identity that some believe has been lost. It also reflects the exhaustion of a society that seems to have no belief other than that of the individual and a retreat into consumerism. In this context, religion can constitute a spiritual refuge in a quest for meaning.
