Après les élections législatives de 2024 et l'Union des partis de gauche, la division semble de nouveau l'emporter particulièrement à l'égard de La France Insoumise qui apparaît comme un point de fragilité de l'union pour de nombreux acteurs. Pour tenter de préserver l'essentiel, le parti socialiste, les écologistes, l'Après, François Ruffin et Génération se sont réunis avec Lucie Castets pour envisager les moyens d'une candidature commune en 2027 à Bagneux le 2 juillet. Les communistes étaient absents, estimant que la question des municipales est prioritaire à ce moment. La conférence de presse organisée à l'idssue de la journée a montré une volonté commune mais aussi les difficultés d'un travail en commun de partis aux sensibilités et histoires différentes dans le paysage politique de la gauche.

Following the 2024 legislative elections and the Union of Left Parties, division seems to be once again prevailing, particularly with regard to La France Insoumise, which appears to be a point of weakness in the union for many stakeholders. In an attempt to preserve the essential, the Socialist Party, the Greens, Après, François Ruffin, and Génération met with Lucie Castets to consider ways of a joint candidacy in 2027 in Bagneux on July 2. The Communists were absent, believing that the issue of the municipal elections is a priority at this time. The press conference organized at the end of the day demonstrated a shared desire but also the difficulties of parties with different sensitivities and histories working together in the political landscape of the left.
