Une prière devant l'Assemblée nationale contre la loi portant droit à l'aide à mourir
L'aide à mourir, ou Euthanasie, reste un débat de société très clivant. Alors que la majorité des Français approuve une législation spécifique permettant d'accéder à l'aide à mourir, le Parlement examine en ce moment un texte ouvrant ce nouveau droit. Sur les réseaux sociaux comme dans l'Hémicycle, le débat confronte deux visions de la liberté et des convictions parfois tranchées sur l'idée d'Humanité. Alors que l'Assemblée nationale vote un texte, une veillée de prière catholique a été organisée pour dire l'opposition d'un certain nombre de croyants à ce droit quy'ils jugent attentatoire à l'Humanité.

Assisted dying, or euthanasia, remains a highly divisive societal debate. While the majority of French people approve specific legislation allowing access to assisted dying, Parliament is currently examining a text opening up this new right. On social media and in the Chamber, the debate pits two visions of freedom against sometimes sharply defined convictions regarding the idea of humanity. As the National Assembly voted on a text, a Catholic prayer vigil was organized to express the opposition of a number of believers to this right, which they consider an attack on humanity.
