Alors qu'un conseil présidentiel de transition politique a été mis en place en 2024 en Haïti, la situation politique et sécuritaire du pays, des gangs sèment le chaos à Port au prince et dans d'autres régions du pays. La communauté haïtienne en France s'est rassemblée pour réclamer le retour à la paix. Dans le cortège, se trouvaient notamment des pancartes dénonçant l'indemnité imposée par la France en 1825 au territoire libéré de sa colonisation en échange de sa libération.
Demonstration for peace in Haiti
While a presidential transitional council has been established in Haiti for 2024, the political and security situation in the country is uncertain, and gangs are wreaking havoc in Port-au-Prince and other regions. The Haitian community in France rallied to demand a return to peace. The procession carried signs denouncing the indemnity imposed by France in 1825 on the territory liberated from its colonization in exchange for its liberation.
