L'ensemble immobilier Tour Maine Montparnasse a vu définitivement le jour en 1973 après quatre ans de travaux. Il contient la Tour Montparnasse, haute de 210 m, et le centre commercial inauguré en 1972. Cet ensemble architectural marque la vision d'une époque, celle de la fin des années 1960 avec la tertiarisation de l'économie et les vision d'une nouvelle modernité. Cet ensemble est aujourd'hui l'objet d'un projet de restrusturation et de rénovation et de nombreux espaces commerciaux sont vides, dans l'attente du renouveau qui avait été annoncé dès 2018 mais n'est pas venu. L'espace ainsi délaissé laisse la place à ce qui ressemble à une galerie fantôme.

The Tour Maine Montparnasse real estate complex was definitively built in 1973 after four years of work. It contains the Montparnasse Tower, 210 m high, and the shopping center inaugurated in 1972. This architectural ensemble marks the vision of an era, that of the end of the 1960s with the tertiarisation of the economy and the vision of a new modernity. This complex is today the subject of a restrusturation and renovation project and many commercial spaces are empty, awaiting the renewal which was announced in 2018 but did not come. The space thus abandoned gives way to what looks like a ghost gallery.
