Linkee, the students' lunchroom
More than a year ago, the Covid 19 entered our lives, accentuating the difficulties and the precariousness of some French people. For students, on the front line, concentrating on their studies becomes complicated when the fridges are empty.
Fortunately, since the beginning of the pandemic, solidarity initiatives are multiplying, like Linkee. Established in Paris since 2016, they fight against food waste by donating unsold food from stores and restaurants to associations to help the most needy. Since the beginning of the school year in October, they have also been organizing distributions exclusively for students.
At the time of the deconfinement, the student precariousness is always present and about ten distributions saw the day and more than 25000 meals are distributed per week on Paris and the region Ile-de-France.
In the 12th and 13th districts of Paris, the welcome is warm, the volunteers share their good mood and their care to the students who leave with baskets of fresh and quality products and one less problem for the days to come.
