Skier à tout prix
Y-aura-t-il de la neige cette année ? L’inquiétude des stations de ski, des passionnés de montagne et des vacanciers est grandissante. L’irrégularité des chutes de neige, conséquence du dérèglement climatique, vient questionner l’avenir des stations et sports d’hiver dans les Alpes. Pour le ski alpin, le manque de neige est compensé par la production de neige de culture grâce aux canons à neige permettant de “skier à tout prix”. Mais cette neige artificielle a, elle aussi, besoin d’une température minimale pour rendre les sports de glisse possible. Qu’en sera-t-il dans 1 an, 5 ans, 10 ans ? Les enfants d’aujourd’hui pourront-ils continuer à skier demain ? Le climat change, le paysage se modifie. L’homme décidera-t-il de s’adapter ?

Skiing at all costs
Will there be snow this year? The concerns of ski resorts, mountain enthusiasts and tourists are growing. The irregularity of snowfall, a consequence of climate change, is calling into question the future of ski resorts and winter sports in the Alps. For downhill skiing, the lack of snow is compensated for by the production of artificial snow, thanks to snow cannons that make it possible to « ski at all costs ». But this artificial snow also needs a minimum temperature to make snow activities possible. What will happen in 1, 5 or 10 years' time? Will today's children still be able to ski tomorrow? The climate is changing, the landscape is changing. Will man decide to adapt?
