FROM NOGENT TO PARIS ON THE WATER
Each year, the boaters of the Fayolle marinas have to leave their annual berths for a month. Frédéric* living on his 10m boat in the port of Nogent-sur-Marne, therefore moved his boat to the port of the Arsenal Bastille in Paris, an excursion of a few hours at the mercy of the locks and the commercial boats that have priority there. We crossed three locks, a tunnel and followed the Seine to Bastille. It will stay there for one month and will return to Nogent. Since January 1, 2008, as part of a public service delegation contract, the Paris City Council has entrusted the management of the Port de l'Arsenal to the Fayolle company through its port management subsidiary Fayolle Marine. The average time to get a berth in France is 5 years, about 8 years in Paris. The number of pleasure boaters in France has now reached 13 million and the number of pleasure boat registrations is increasing by approximately 12,000 units per year.
