SHUTTERS CLOSED IN BRITTANY
Brittany, like other tourist regions, is facing a housing crisis. With thousands of empty houses whose shutters remain closed for much of the year, the region is unable to house all its inhabitants. In some Morbihan coastal towns, such as Carnac or Quiberon, newcomers have to move away from the seaside if they want to find a year-round home. This also poses a problem for housing seasonal workers.
