TURKEY-KURDS-NOWROZ
The Persian New Year and the first day of spring, Newroz, was celebrated in the Siverek district of Sanliurfa with the participation of thousands of people. Residents gathered at the Newroz celebration wearing traditional clothing. The event was marked by colorful scenes as participants welcomed the arrival of spring and the New Year together. Celebrated by Kurds and Iranians, Newroz is an ancient festival rooted in the Zoroastrian tradition. Coinciding with the vernal equinox, Newroz is calculated according to the solar calendar and symbolizes the beginning of spring.
