Soudain, dans un éclair de couleurs et d'efforts, portés par les encouragements des spectateurs massés au bord de la route, les premiers coureurs du peloton sont enfin apparus, les visages marqués par la raideur de la pente.
Durant quelques instants, le temps s'est suspendu. L'attente, l'excitation grandissante, les voix des haut-parleurs et le cortège des véhicules l'organisation se sont effacés devant l'essentiel : la rencontre entre la montagne, les champions et les spectateurs, réunis dans un même souffle pour accompagner chaque coup de pédale vers le sommet.

Suddenly, in a burst of colour and exertion, spurred on by the cheers of the spectators lining the roadside, the first riders in the peloton finally came into view, their faces etched with the strain of the steep climb.
For a few moments, time stood still. The anticipation, the mounting excitement, the voices from the loudspeakers and the procession of the organisers’ vehicles all faded into the background, giving way to what really mattered: the meeting of the mountain, the champions and the spectators, united in a single breath to accompany every pedal stroke towards the summit.
