CHIMIE | Les ex-salariés de Vencorex échouent à ouvrir le nouveau chapitre Exalia
Soutenu par les porteurs du projet avorté de Société coopérative (SCIC) pour sauver Vencorex, avec en tête la représentante CGT et ancienne salariée Séverine Dejoux, mais aussi PDG de la CIC Orio Olivier Six, le projet Exalia ambitionnait de produire sur la plate-forme chimique du Pont-de-Claix une chimie « verte, sobre, décarbonée et souveraine », avec l'annonce de 1.000 emplois crées dans les cinq prochaines années.
Mais le projet de reprise, dans les tuyaux depuis de nombreux mois, a été retoqué par le tribunal des activités économiques de Lyon (ex-tribunal de commerce). Les porteurs du projet dénoncent une décision « totalement incompréhensible » qu’ils contesteront.

Backed by the proponents of the now-defunct cooperative venture (SCIC) to save Vencorex, led by CGT representative and former employee Séverine Dejoux, as well as CIC Orio CEO Olivier Six, the Exalia project aimed to produce ‘green, sustainable, carbon-free and sovereign’ chemicals at the Pont-de-Claix chemical site, with the announcement of 1,000 jobs to be created over the next five years.
However, the takeover plan, which had been in the pipeline for many months, has been rejected by the Lyon Economic Court (formerly the Commercial Court). They have described the decision as « completely incomprehensible » and say they will appeal against it.
