Dans sa commune de Châtel-en-Trièves, où elle a été élue en mars 2020, les habitants sont invités à s'engager dans les projets initiés par la municipalité pour être acteurs de la revitalisation de leur territoire : à 39 ans, Fanny Lacroix fait partie de ces jeunes maires qui souhaitent redonner du sens à l’action publique en impliquant fortement les citoyens.
Engagée au sein du bureau de Place publique, le mouvement politique fondé par Raphaël Glucksmann, mais aussi de l’Association des maires ruraux de France (AMRF), l’édile anime une réflexion avec une centaine de communes sur les questions de démocratie participative.

In her municipality of Châtel-en-Trièves, where she was elected in March 2020, residents are invited to get involved in projects initiated by the municipality to help revitalise their area : at 39, Fanny Lacroix is one of those young mayors who want to give new meaning to public action by getting citizens heavily involved.
As a member of the board of Place publique, the political movement founded by Raphaël Glucksmann, and of the Association des maires ruraux de France (AMRF), she is leading a debate with around a hundred local authorities on issues of participatory democracy.
