Vingt-deux ans plus tard, le réalisateur suisse a tiré des images de sa folle traversée Riverboom, un improbable documentaire aux airs de buddy movie.

Summer 2002, in the midst of the American military intervention: Serge Michel and Paolo Woods, a reporter and photographer respectively, travel across Afghanistan, far from Kabul where all the journalists are concentrated, to report on the state of the country. In the back seat of an out-of-date Mercedes, a third friend is there: Claude Baechtold. Twenty-two years on, the Swiss filmmaker has turned the footage of his mad 2002 crossing of Afghanistan with the two journalists Riverboom, an improbable buddy movie documentary.
