Extinction Rebellion France and Earth Uprisings led a large-scale action targeting the construction industry. Four hundred activists deployed to four sites of cement companies Lafarge-Holcim and Equiom in the port of Gennevilliers, in the northern suburbs of Paris. Accusing these companies of being complicit in and responsible for the concretization of agricultural land with the Société du Grand Paris, they believe it is necessary to use these hard-hitting actions to alert people to the climate and ecological emergency. If they do not question the interest of a more extensive network of public transport, they question the strategic choices of the pharaonic Grand Paris and the relevance of the novelty on the renovation of housing or existing lines. As for the head of Lafarge Ile-de-France, he does not understand the interest of such an action that he considers without effect on the evolution of the sites.
