Le Front Populaire a 90 ans
En 1936, la coalition de gauche, le Front Populaire, se formait autour du Parti radical, de la Section française de l'Internationale ouvrière (SFIO) et du Parti communiste. Si cette période de l'histoire politique française résonne encore comme une référence pour une partie de l'électorat de gauche, les partis actuels, qui lui ont imaginé sa résurrection par le Nouveau Font Populaire (NFP), célèbrent les 90 ans de la coalition.
The Popular Front is 90 years old
In 1936, the left-wing coalition, the Popular Front, was formed around the Radical Party, the French Section of the Workers' International (SFIO), and the Communist Party. While this period of French political history still resonates as a reference point for a segment of the left-wing electorate, current parties, which have envisioned its revival through the New Popular Front (NFP), are celebrating the coalition's 90th anniversary.
