Veillée de prière à Notre-Dame de Paris – 21 avril 2025
Le lundi 21 avril 2025, la cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris a accueilli une veillée de prière en hommage au pape François, décédé le matin même à l’âge de 88 ans. Dès 11h, les cloches ont retenti 88 fois, marquant chaque année de sa vie. Des messes ont été célébrées à midi et à 18h, suivies d’un chapelet à 19h et d’une veillée de prière de 20h à minuit, présidée par Mgr Emmanuel Tois. Les fidèles se sont rassemblés dans une atmosphère de recueillement, entourés de cierges et de prières, pour rendre hommage à un pontife qui a profondément marqué l’Église et le monde.

On Monday, April 21, 2025, Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris hosted a prayer vigil in honor of Pope Francis, who passed away that morning at the age of 88. At 11 a.m., the cathedral's bells tolled 88 times, symbolizing each year of his life. Masses were held at noon and 6 p.m., followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. and a prayer vigil from 8 p.m. to midnight, presided over by Auxiliary Bishop Emmanuel Tois. Faithful gathered in a solemn atmosphere, surrounded by candles and prayers, to pay tribute to a pontiff who profoundly impacted the Church and the world.
