Sur scène l’artiste est généreuse, émue. Des larmes, des remerciements et 2h20 de concert qui rassurent tous les spectacteurs : l’artiste va bien. Quelques fragilités de voix en début de show très vite comblées par l’énergie de l’artiste mise à nue vocalement, qui a fait le choix de ne pas s’accompagner d’artifices scèniques. Yesterday marked the fourth concert of Céline Dion’s run at the Plénitude Arena, signaling her grand return to the stage after years away due to health issues. Fans traveled from all corners of the globe to cheer for the artist—lucky winners of a lottery held months prior that granted access to tickets, which had sold out in mere days. There are no fewer than 26 dates for her to reconnect with her international audience here in Paris. Some wore custom-made T-shirts for the occasion, while others donned dazzling, light-adorned outfits. High school friend groups reunited; parents and their (grown) children shared a precious, nostalgic moment; colleagues gathered to sing the songs that defined their teenage years—such was the makeup of the 33,000-strong crowd last night. At the center of it all: Céline (and the unconditional love of her fans). On stage, the artist was generous and visibly moved. There were tears, expressions of gratitude, and a two-hour-and-twenty-minute concert that reassured every spectator: the artist is doing well. While her voice showed slight fragility at the start of the show, this was quickly overcome by the energy of an artist laying herself bare vocally, having chosen to forgo stage gimmicks. Céline Dion delivered a solid set, capping it off with a vocal performance on "All by Myself" that was as impressive as ever.
