Cisjordanie occupée: des raids violents à la ville fantôme - Un an au camp de réfugiés de Jénine
Depuis le 7 octobre 2023, le camp de réfugiés de Jenine dans le nord de la Cisjordanie occupée, considéré comme un bastion de la résistance à l'occupation, est le théâtre d'opérations militaires intensives menées par les Forces de sécurité israéliennes, qualifiées par l'ONU comme étant les plus violentes depuis la Seconde Intifada.
Le 21 janvier 2025, Tsahal conjointement aux forces de sécurité israéliennes a entamé une opération dite antiterroriste baptisée Mur de Fer au cours de laquelle tous les habitants du camp, plus de 20 000 personnes, ont été forcés d'abandonner leurs maisons et de quitter le camp. Les infrastructures ont été détruites, des dizaines de maisons et commerces ont été détruits ou incendiés. Le camp est devenu une ville fantôme, une zone militaire interdite d'accès où l'armée construit notamment des artères permettant à ses véhicules et bulldozers de circuler aisément. Cette situation perdure depuis.
En octobre 2025, la population n'a toujours pas pu retourner chez elle.
Occupied West Bank: From violent raids to a ghost town - One year in the Jenin refugee camp
Since October 7, 2023, the Jenin refugee camp in the northern occupied West Bank, considered a stronghold of resistance to the occupation, has been the scene of intensive military operations conducted by the Israeli Security Forces, described by the UN as the most violent since the Second Intifada.
On January 21, 2025, the IDF, in conjunction with the Israeli Security Forces, launched what it called a counter-terrorism operation dubbed Iron Wall, during which all the camp's residents, more than 20,000 people, were forced to abandon their homes and leave the camp. Infrastructure was destroyed, and dozens of homes and businesses were demolished or burned. The camp became a ghost town, a restricted military zone where the army is constructing roads while tearing down houses in their path, to allow its vehicles and bulldozers to move freely.
In October 2025, the population still hasn't been allowed to return to the camp.
